Art Into Action: Coalition On Homelessness’ Art Auction 20

Please join CAMP in supporting our community partner the Coalition On Homelessness through Art Auction 20: Art Into Action

San Francisco – The Coalition On Homelessness will hold their 20th Art Auction, kicking off the month of October. Art Auction 20 has something for everyone while still adhering to safety precautions with Covid-19 – with beautiful and powerful art at a variety of prices which can be viewed online for free! There is also a curated selection of artworks hung in storefront windows in the Mission for folks to view.

The Coalition On Homelessness is a grassroots social justice organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness and its social, political, and economic causes. Our bottom-up organizing model ensures the voices of some of the most disenfranchised San Franciscans lead the fight against homelessness. Our work is more important than ever with the emergence of Covid-19. While services are widely closed and hotel placements dwindle for people experiencing homelessness, anti-homeless hate groups increase and gain traction, our workload has increased and feels more urgent than ever!

We have over 100 pieces of art from local artists who have generously donated their talent and art to our cause and ask you to match their generosity in purchasing art. Moreover, we will have over half a dozen raffle prizes including a signed Warriors Team basketball, tickets to the de Young & Legion of Honor museums, as well as a COH swag bag which includes all of our newest merchandise (also available for individual sale), including COH hoodies, STREET SHEET face masks, and Art Auction 20 tote bags.

Come support the Coalition On Homelessness and enjoy this wonderful event from the comfort of you own home! As a reminder, registration & ticketing for our Art Auction is FREE! Anyone can register to view our artwork online and anyone can view the curated art hung in the Mission with the map, designed by artist Crystal Vielula (above).

CAMP artists with work in the auction include: Alicia McCarthy, Art Hazelwood, Chris Gazaleh, Chris Granillo, Crystal Vielula, Doug Rhodes, Joanna Ruckman, Keyvan Shovir, Megan Wilson, Xara Thustra, and Txu-Txo Perez.
